That blue stuff from Scotland's got nothing on good old fashioned American Rye.

(And for those who think I put too much ice in my whiskey, I don't care. I drink what I like, the way I like it.)

What's the difference between rye and bourbon?

basically:

bourbon = at least 51% corn with either wheat or rye as the secondary grain.

rye = at least 51% rye with corn and malted barley being the secondary grains.

they're cousins, so to speak, differing only in the proportion of the grains.

Hey, you put too much ice in your whiskey ....

:D:thumbup:

That really hurts. I so crave the approval of my BladeForums brothers. ;)

But seriously, I live in southeast Texas where it's hotter than hell, and a drink that's not cold's not worth drinking.

Is that Sazerac bottle second from the left what I think it is? It looks like something I haven't seen in years.

It's just the 18yo expression from the BTAC collection, and I think that particular bottle is an '08 or an '09 version. I just grabbed one of each for a quick photo. I keep all four on hand, as well as the WT 101 Rye. I dig Rye...

Oh, is that all. The regular Sazerac has been hard to come by where I live, and the 18YO unobtainable for years,
