Trying to save some cash for the Knife Expo coming up at the end of the month, and I get the BHK email... Dammit! very cool little chopper/camp knife they are offering up. I couldn't resist, I am so weak :eek: Anyway, specs sound great to me. 3/16ths thick O1, blade is a little over 6", wide blade heavy design. The whole package just spoke to me. reminds me of a some of Pitdogs designs

Looks like someone shortened and rehandled a becker bk-7, or elongated a crewman, looks like a basic tough knife.
They lost me with the ridiculously overpriced pathfinder knife however.

That one caught my eye as well, looks like it would make an awesome camp knife, at $190 + S&H it's a little too rich for me though !!!:(

true it is more than their usual monthly specials, and I was a little on the fence about it. But it is also a much larger knife than their normal offerings so I can see where the added cost makes a little more sense. I like the idea of a compact chopper because I don't have much use for really large knives generally. It won't be here for at least a month but I will post up pics when I get it

Just get a Kabar Becker BK-9 and save a couple of bucks. It is just as good.

BK9 and this are very different. This blade, for one is around 2.5-3 inches shorter, and this comes with a Micarta handle (no need to upgrade if you don't like the Becker handle)
