Bad knife day. I sliced right threw some boxes with a 630....right threw into the cement floor. Shot edge. Well no problem, I'll go fix it on the sharpmaker. Open sharpmaker....stones fly out and shatter.

I swear its because the recurve was dull, and the only means to sharpen such a blade broke because of it.

time get replacement stones, till then....630 gonna have to wait

eek, that IS a bad knife-day! sorry to hear dude. not much to 'advice' on this post sadly, but hey, stuff happens. what can you do about it? :(

put things in perspective:

-the BM has to wait or try other sharpening stuff. and hey, it's "just a BM" ;)
-get new sharpmaker rods on ebay for cheap
-remember not to cut stuff all the way down that's laying on concrete
-carry your scorpius for the rest of the day to recover :)

keep a stiff upper lip and carry on mate!

Yeah, yesterday was such a bad knife day, I think I'm gonna go by a new sharpmaker down the street. Just cause. That and I can keep one at home and at work. I've had the best luck ever with it, and its worth it.

Also have a SS endura, with US Border Patrol eteched in. Don't know what thats about, but I can carry that too.
