I just recently received this knife from Dan Crotts. He calls this a boning knife and it is made on 3/32" D-2 stock and has a 7 1/2" razor sharp blade. The handle material is desert ironwood. A real pleasure to cut with.

Drop dead gorgeous!
Congrats on a great knife.

I like that little notch he slipped in there to make sharpening easier.

Dan is a pleasure to deal with.
Good communication, relatively short (for now ;)) wait times and very clean work.

He has had so many new models come out lately I can't keep up.

ADD, I requested that Dan put that notch in on the heel of the blade so the cutting edge could be sharpened the full length. It really is a great knife and a real pleasure to cut with.

Here is the big brother of the boning knife. This one has a 10 inch blade on D-2 stock and handled in desert ironwood.

You won't be disappointed if you do order a knife from Dan. Both of the kitchen knives are flat ground.

Met Dan in Vegas, yesterday, he was at the Dozier table. Very nice young man, I would have no problem giving him an order.

A note on the Vegas show: it was slow, nothing really of interest to me. I had a friend with me who bought his first two customs so it was fun.
