I had ordered a custom Model 1 from Dan and ended up being the luckiest person!!! He apparently decided to change his etch and my knife was the first to receive it. Very cool!

Knife is D2, approximately 8 1/4 inches in total length. Blade is 4 inches. Handle material is orange G10.

Lucky you.. I was wondering who got the first one, after Wendi told me I got #2 with the new logo..Dan has made me a Walter Brend designed skinner.. looking forward to getting my hands on it:)

You must be livin' a clean life! :D

It's really cool when something like this comes your way. Great "braggin' rights" and when you are collecting a specific makers work it is a nice reference point in that makers career. Enjoy!

Very nice knife. Dan's work is outstanding as many of you already know.

Here's my Dan Crotts Model 1 with the old logo just for comparison:

Here is a pic of my new knife..I finally figured out how to upload..

My 3rd Crotts.. I have 4 boys and they all are getting a Crotts from their dad.
One of my boys is a HUGE florida gator fan,so I asked Dan if he could give me a blue liner to go with the orange g-10.
Wendi told me this is actually a Walter Brend design, I guess he told Dan that he should make this for hunters..

Should be a great skinner:)

I have one of the two originals he made of that model. It is in S30V and Yellow Westinghouse Micarta with brass pins. Wilderness sheath.
It is in my avatar picture.

It is a pure cutting machine.

Dan and Wendi sent me this skinner a few weeks ago. It's a no-frills, nicely built cutting tool with a lot of class.
