I've had this incredibly beautiful Dan Farr "Hartebeast" Walnut camp knife and sheath for about a month now. Even after numerous fondling sessions, I'm still amazed at it's beauty.

This is the first knife that I've handled from Mr. Farr and I'm sure a lot of people already know, he is an extremely talented artisan. I know there's no such thing as a perfect knife but he sure gave this one a hell of a try.

I don't post reviews of knives but I had to share my complete satisfaction with this knife.

6.25" forged 1084
Nickel silver guard
Carved walnut handle with hartebeast horn spacer
Beautiful brown leather belt sheath
11.50" o.a. length

SHE sure is purdy :p

If you see anything wrong with this, it's not the knife it's my photo skills

Thats a fantastic knife, with a unique and distinctive look that is all Dan Farr - he is certainly on the ascendance and has been "one to watch" for a while. Congrats.

Great review, great maker, and even a great photo to compliment the package. I agree on all counts. :D

This is a terrific design by Dan and is executed with his typical close attention to detail. Congrats on the knife and thanks for sharing the pic with us.

Dan's got the heart, soul, eyes and hands of an artist.

That is about as nice a looking knife as I have seen from Dan, and I tend to like just about every one of his knives that I have had the pleasure of seeing.

Thanks guys. I sure love these guys that can take a picture that looks better than the actual knife! I hope to see you all in Atlanta.
