Here's a hunter by Dan Farr. 4 inch 52100 blade with a faint hamon. The edge is 3 1/4. Stock is 0,187. A nickle silver guard a beautiful mortised ironwood handle with brass pins. OAL is just over 8 1/2. The contoured handle make this extremely comfortable and the fit and finish on this is excellent.

Dan made a very good sheath as well.

Great work Dan and thank you Les!

The high gloss finish and contours of the handle made it difficult for me to show off the beauty of this handle. i think you get the idea though.

52100 seems to be the steel of the day. :) Really like this hunter, Matthew. The fifth image shows how well Dan has contoured his handle into the guard. Pin design adds to this one. Congrats!

Nice - I like the stout and stubby profile and the pin treatment. First a Wheeler, now a Farr - develpoing a specialty in hard-to-get hunters, as we? ;)

Like the handle material, the contour of the handle and pin treatment, however not crazy about the handle to blade proportion or the blade profile.

the pins are pretty neat!

It is a beautiful knife. I really like the pins. BUT, I do not like the handle to blade ratio.

The pin treatment is cool and my guess is that it was designed more for function than for looks. I would venture to say it is a great feeling knife in the hand and would perform superbly.

I really like the style of Dan Farr's knives. Each one is so unique. Always beautiful handles too. Congratulations to muddy!
