Yes sheep horn. What I really like about this knife if the hidden tang.
Do you know if D. Farr still makes knives?

Just happened to be thinking about my first knife by Dan Farr from back in the day. Forged 1/4" 52100 and sheep horn. Tough and sharp. Mortised handle. Supremely comfortable in hand and well balanced.
