Dan Inosanto's Filipino Martial Arts Book On Line

Donna,, I'm sure that many people are excited about seeing Guro dans book but another thought must be dwelled on. Has KNOW NOW Publications given permission for this? I mean the book is copyrighted by Guro Dan and published by them isn't it? As a JKD/ Filino practitioner I can see the allure of getting the book on the net but as an author I can see that as copyright infringement...like making copies of Video tapes and giving them away..its not legal nor ethical.
If all those people really want Guro Dans book they should have KNOW NOW reprint it...
or Have Guro Dan release his new book..
Unless Guro Dan has given permission for it to be done..and Know Now has agreed...
just my thoughts on it..

Bram;

Definitely a dilemma. I offer a creative, though probably not within the letter of copyright law, solution.

I've Bookmarked the site. I am going to treat it as a library and view it a few pages at a time. Should I decide that I want it and wish to download it, I'll ask permission of Guro Dan along with a $5.00 money order (which certainly is more than he would have gotten in royalty from the one copy).

I'm not bleeding for the publisher; if they wanted to continue getting revenue, they should have continued it in print....
