Hey Joe

It was good to finely meet you.
The knife I used is a blade made from .310" CPM-M4. 10" blade 5" handle made with horse stall mat.
Wt 26oz

O and thanks for holding on to my buckle.

Dan

Congratulations, Dan, impressive achievement !
That CPM-M4 seems to be just the steel for these cutting competitions.

Good to see you, Dan.

That cutter was spot on for what you wanted to make it do.

Congrats on a long overdue win!

Way to go Dan. Steven is right, long overdue. You have definatly put your time in and I am glad it paid off.

Congratulations Dan!

This was my first time at a cutting comp and I must say, I was really pleased and impressed. Not only was it just plain fun to watch, it was also very family-friendly and 100% geared to promoting knives as tools, and emphasizing safety and responsibility. Dan and Donovan Phillips also took extra time after the cutting was over, to chop up more golf balls and 2x4 chunks so everyone who wanted one could get a souvenir.

Good to see a maker from my neck of the woods win.

I was in E-Burg a few months ago, and had like 12 hours to kill. Literally nothing to do all day! I should have stalked Dan!

Dan it was good talking knives with you and seeing your videos Dan has some great videos showing what his choppers can do and they rock and Dan can swing them check them out if you get a chance. Congrats Dan on your big Win

Sure thing, man!

The cool thing about shipping it to you is that it is pretty much all gone in one box, and I don't have to make up a bunch of little bitty boxes and try to collect from a bunch of makers.....it also helps me keep the stuff manageable....will probably be working on it this Saturday, maybe ship out on Monday. Have to find a box big enough to accomodate the length.

Congrats again.....your technique is evolved and effective.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

I hope I'm not breaking any copyright rules or anything by posting this... Here's Dan's winning run from the competition, from my POV as a fan:

Let's not forget that Dan still holds the current World Record for the 2x4 chop. Look it up, it's pretty intense :)

There will be a Bladesports School and cutting competition August 17 -18 this year in Pennsylvania.
I will be instructing and certifying new cutters. I will also provide some knives for people that don't have one. It would be awesome to have you there here's some information.
