Any photos of the blade, unfinished handle, custom kaudi, fittings, description, etc. would be appreciated. A while back you posted a photo of your shop, and I saw a large blown up photo of a khukuri on the wall; that was the khukuri that prompted me to contact you about making the Jadu for me... :) Do award my patience with a few photos! :D

Pics as requested. :D

DrDan has been, by far, the most patient customer I've ever had. You guys thought the 18 mo. waiting time for Dave's Ultimate Bowie was long....This was started in '04....:o

I don't intentionally make people wait for orders...I usually try to make them as quickly as I can. But sometimes the order has to wait for my skill level to rise to it. And the fullers on this khukuri have been giving me fits...until now. I think by weeks' end I'll have it down, and the blade finished.

Anyway...take a look:

Putting in the fullers with an angle grinder!

The wood model you see in the top picture is what the final product will be like (with a few detail changes). Daunting? Yes. Out of my league? Perhaps. Time will tell. ;)

Did you say L6??? I thought that was almost impossible to work with - like $15,000 katana difficult.

Thought about moving this to the W&C but will leave it here for now.

Sorry Nasty; I thought this could be posted in the main forum as it pertains to khukuris, albeit non H.I. khukuries...

Looking good Dan... I understood your philosophy on the project when I placed the order, and am positive the Jadu will turn out even better than we had envisioned. :) Sometimes I'm having second thoughts using that block of wood; can't find em' anywhere anymore... :grumpy:

Do post a photo after you make the cho, O.K.?

Thanks!

Looking good Dan. I guess this is a testament to Kami skill huh?

no kiddin, Andy. I'm sure if I had 10 more years to do it every day I could get it down pat...but man....it is Not Easy. :(

Will definitely post progress pics, Dan!
