Okay he doesn't actually have a gallery...he has more of a basement, in a house, in Freemont, in Seattle.
Since Freemont is only a stones throw from the University District, I was lucky enough to be able to visit Dan at his home.
He has MANY nice custom knives. He said the average price knife he sells is about $1100. Judging by all the damascus and MOP I saw, I would not doubt this figure. Many great highend knives, by many great makers.
The primary reason for my visit was to handle one of Deryk Munroe's Chimeras BEFORE ordering it (a surprising concept in todays web based world). Dan told me that Deryk uses NO JIGS making this knife, so that while each one is very similar, they are all completely unique. The Chimera is a well built, solid knife, and IMHO one of the best deals out there.
I would not hesistate to recommend www.bladegallery.com or the Chimera.
