We noticed on our trips to Marion IN and now to Huntington IN the signs
for the Dan Quayle Muesum in Huntington. On Friday I mailed a package
out from the Huntington Post Office and took a ride and found the Muesum.

It wasn't open at the time, looks like they have scheduled events for groups
to visit this place. Here are a few images, always have my trusty Canon SD1400
in my front left pants pocket...

Building was made in 1919 according to this corner stone date;

and on the opposite side of the entry, it shows a rededicated date of 1993

The doors were locked, but I tried to block the light from the windows reflection
and took a photo of the inside, can't see much...

There wasn't a line of people but then it was around 10am on a Friday,
I did meet another photographer also intent on taking some photos,
his was a much nicer Dslr and he was hoping the doors were open also...

Interesting, we will be out that way again, I may try to see if it's open next time!

Shouldn't they be selling Air Force Two souvenirs instead of Air Force One planes?

Nice pics Mr. Gary. Its always good to memorialize such things, as they fade from memory. I have an SD1400 because of you, btw, though my Blackberry Bold 9700 covers my EDC camera needs.

Thanks and the SD1400 is a fun one to carry along, if I didn't have
the small plastic slip pouch, barely larger than the camera, it wouldn't
be as portable as it is.

And I wondered also about the Air Force One stuff, must be all things
Presidential and Vice Presidential may be on sale there??

I don't have the slip pouch. Did yours come with it, or is it aftermarket? I just bought a small belt pouch at Target, which serves for vaycay and so forth.

Unfortunately, they were a side product of our thumbdrives, they were shipped in these
pouches, of course, everyone else just took out the thumbdrive and threw away the
pouch, I didn't see these until too late and grabbed every one I could find as I use
them as cable caddies too, makes a LOT neater carry when each cable has it's own
untangled pouch ;) Yes, I'm a bit OCD I reckon :)

I wrap the camera up with a Microfiber cloth and slide it into the plastic pouch
so now, it keeps the pocket lint and crap away from the camera and if I'm out
and it rains, it'll help keep the camera from getting wet.

I carry the battery charger and spare battery in my laptop bag when I travel and just
toss the extra battery in my pocket as well.

so, sorry but don't know where the heck these can be located but they sure are handy...

You mean to tell me that your camera doesn't ride around in a ultra custom G2 leather pouch?

:D ;)

Exactly. Are you telling me that Gary Graley carries anything in what amounts to a shower curtain?

hehe, well, in this case, pun intended ;) I use what is most handy at the time,
plus shower curtains do hold off moisture ....
