Hi Everybody,

I finally got my B-10's in woo hoo, they are nice.

But I guess I ordered 2 choil versions, dang it.

My mistake.

After seeing all the choil less versions I was looking forward to one of those.

I am still happy, pics later :)

Darn. That makes two people who got choiled ones who wanted choilless, drbarnes being the other :(
Perhaps the trade forum is worth hitting up :)

I got a choilless version then changed my mind, but the choil ones were all sold out by then. I thought to trade it for a choil version too, but now I'm not sure... the odd thing about the B10 is that the choiled version's overall length is longer than the unchoilled version--the cutting edge lengths are the same on the B10 and the choil extends the blade, which I can say is not true on at least the BOSS Jack. I found out I like choils on bigger blades, and having that little bit of extra length on the choiled B10 could help with chopping, too.

... but hey, at least you got some B10s! congrats!

I have a B11, not even one b10! haha its ok though, I have a DFle and a satin battle rat, I may stalk the exhange though.

No B10 here either. I would have ordered a choil less version if I had ordered. Great stuff.

List one in the trade section and see if any one wants to swap.

Ah, oops... for some reason I thought I read you saying you got a choiled and wanted choilless after seeing all the pics lately
I like my B11 enough but still got a B10 :D

Did you infer this from photos, or learn of it from posted side-by-side in-hand meaurements, Busse-published specs or...?

Well, inferred from photos, so I guess it might not be true. Got this from Al's thread:
b10s.jpg

I added those lines to the photo just now to make it more obvious and less optical illusiony... guess it's not much of a difference after all. Upon further inspection, it might even be false, seeing as how the handle of the foreground knife seems to extend beyond that of the background's, too, which doesn't seem to make sense. It's just that the knives are so close together and the angle of the camera so acute and close to the perpendicular from the table that you think there wouldn't be such a drastic difference from that perspective  but the appearance suggests otherwise.... so... I take that back :o:foot:

Looks good Al. Is the overall length of the choiless shorter, or just an optical illusion?
Thank you,
The ricasso is smaller on the choiless......
good eye!

The ricassos are always smaller on Busse's choilless versions, but like I said, I've never seen the choil option affect the overall length so I was (falsely) surprised to see it do so on the B10.
