My most recent battle scar.

This thing did...

WP_001050.jpg

this, right to the bone probably would've went right through if didn't. Did a lot more damage than it looks (like most punctures wounds).

Even though you hurt me, I'll still come back.

Do you have a recent battle scar?

*****Update*****

So I just got back from the doctors and he believes that I may have severed my tendon in my middle finger.

Yowch. Do I even want to know how that happened?

No pictures of my recent scar - I was carving a stubborn piece of wood burl, and tried to get creative with the pressure angle to get it *just right*. The wood split off and the knife followed fast, right into and mostly through my index finger and thumb on my off hand. Conveniently stopped on the bone, and managed to not cut tendons somehow.

Dumb me. I knew better. Sharp knife, healed up well.

I don't have pictures, but when I first got my Tenacious it took the tip of my thumb. It damaged my radial nerve and now I don't have feeling in half of my palm

The last bad one was a month ago.....I'll post up to date pics tomorrow, for now here's a few hours after it happend.

Oh and what is that razor sharp, fluted, dagger like, spike thing?

Ouch. My most recent one was from a cheap Chinese knife. I was cutting cardboard and I used the top of my leg as an improvised cutting board and ended up cutting through my pants and into my thigh. It left about a 4" gash in my leg. No pics, I don't show leg for free :p

I was trying to add another hole in my son's belt with an old case knife. As I was trying to push the blade through the leather, I thought to myself, "this thing is going to slip and I will probably cut myself". Bingo! Six stitches later and about 2 years after that, all feeling was restored to my left "pointie" finger.
Moral of story: When that little voice that whispers warnings into your head speaks, PAY ATTENTION. Saves on pain and suffering that way.

Blessings,

Omar

My problem? Half the time that "little voice" is the one telling me its a good idea....but I agree haha I could have saved myself some pain if I'd listened to that voice...

Not at all recent, but when I was a kid, grinding knives out of files, I was putting a high shine on an almost-finished blade using, wait for it.... a buffing wheel. That thing caught an edge and scooped about 1/2" of flesh off my middle finger right at the middle knuckle.

No pic because its still wrapped, about 2 weeks ago I was putting the finishing touches on an elk skinner type blade I built from scratch and was polishin up the spine, over shot the tip of the blade & came back down and fillet my finger wide open from the side down to the bone & went through my finger nail. Best part didn't hurt until I got stitches and staples.

Moral of this story kiddies, don't sharpen your blades like razors UNITL everything polished right

"A falling knife has no handle"

Hope it heals well :)

You live in California where the sun shines 366 days out of the year (so says the Chamber of Commerce) and you have no tan? Surely the sun didn't go Bankrupt along with the city of Stockton?:D

Blessings,

Omar

while testing some knife, I cut through my fingernail from the center of the nail to the center of the finger. Worst wasn't the cutting, it was getting the gauze off after it had congealed. This was a week or two after the event.

Well, uhh... A little while ago I decided that a receipt had to die. I was furiously slicing it, sitting cross legged with my left foot propped on my right knee when all the sudden I felt a little tug on my toe... It appears I had overshot my slice and took a little filet off my toe.
