Under other circumstances, I might be wallowing in envious self-pity over my missing the WWIII boat.

But these are not any such circumstances because I am currently rapt in pride for and admiration of my new ONE-OF-A-KIND Service #1 with stabilized bird's-eye maple grip. WHAT A BEAUT! Patent leather sheath. Bone chakma and karda handles. Gorgeously finished knife. Excellent symmetry along every axis I could examine.

Craig, thank you for making GH such an great business to deal with and please convey my impressed approval to the authors of this fine piece! I'm sorry to hear they didn't like working with the stabilized wood more, but that may keep my Khuk' unique

I rejoice with those of you who are now receiving your much-anticipated WWIII's. If there's ever a batch of a similar blade in the offing, I hope to get in on it.

I haven't been a part of this forum long, but I've learned a lot, enjoyed even more, and am convinced that this is a great place to be. Thanks, gang!

Mac: Glad you got your one-of-a-kind. When I saw it, I couldn't help remember the shape of the block of wood they started with: they didn't have much extra to work with, and they did a great job.

Mac: As for the WWIII, call me, as I can put you on the list for "no-shows."
