We have a 50'ish degree sunny warm spring afternoon here in the Great Northwet. So I grab my Busse Basic 9 and git my butt outside to spend a few hours bustin' up windfall fir branches. The dang things drop branches worse than the trail of empty scotch bottles strewn behind Jerry on a good night of imbibing the Nectar Of The Gods.

After the choppin' chores were done I came in the house, washed the Basic 9 down with some ammoniated cleaner fluid to get the sap and gunk off the blade. Upon inspection, the edge felt a little less sharp than I remember it being at the start of the day, which is pretty impressive given the whuppin' I'd been doin' on the branches. So I start stropping the knife's edge on a diamond-coated steel (flat side only of the asymetrical edge). After literally no more than a dozen strokes, the Basic beastie is shredding newsprint confetti like mad and creating a new BBS (Busse bald spot) on the back of my hand.

So my question is:

"Hey Boss Hog, how the hell am I ever gonna justify to Mrs Rok having all these Busse blades layin' around the place when I can't even hurt, let alone kill, my primary user Busse?"

"How?? Huh...... How? Huh..... Huh..... ?????" ;) :D :D

Thanks for makin' such indestructo knives, Boss. I'm still lovin' em and how they work.

Once you have filled the basic size niches, you have to come up with more and more outlandish reasons.

I need a skinning blade (but honey, you haven't been hunting in 15 years).

I am still trying with the "in case of zombie attack" for getting an AK. The wife just points to my several battle axes, swords, tomahawks, and military style guns and says I have enough to kill zombies with. Basically she does not understand how light and lethal a convexed edge AK would be!

Heck, if a ton of zombies attack, I will get too tried swigning the hand and a half sword, and the battle axes weigh much more. An AK or two would be perfect. ......or perhaps Dragon's Fang.........or Chuckette.
