You're going to need some buckskins and a coonskin cap, and you'll be all set.

I'm going to guess that you're over 50 and under 60.

I had a feeling that was coming.
Now was my guess in the right age range?

well that's my dad's age range but i'm 23, but i was brought up watching all tv shows from the 50's and 60's like daniel boone and the man from u.n.c.l.e., sea hunt, zorro, adventures of jim bowie, davy crockett, adventures of superman, bonanza, tarzan, jungle jim, The RIFLEMAN, and i drive a 61 bel air.

That's great! I grew up in the eighties and remember watching alot of those shows on the Disney channel back when it first started. They used have Zorro, Rin Tin Tin, Daniel Boone, all that stuff.

Nice pics. And thanks for the trip down memory lane. :)

I'm a child of the 50's now in his 50's.
I was probably about 6 or 7 when I had my Davy Crockett coonskin cap.

You must have a great Dad for you to be as influenced in this type of memorabilia.

as far as the chevy right now there is a 235 6 cylinder 3 on the tree but planning to put a 348 or 409 with a 4 on the floor. the guns- yes i shoot em, and my dad is a good dad. he still has a lot of the toys he had when he was a kid.

I'm not real well informed...maybe someone who is will add and/or correct me. If your Belair is stock(2 door/4door?) and in good condition, I would not modifiy it. It's worth more in original condition. Get a junker/roller and fix it the way you like. Great gear...great era. Preston

hi preston
it's a 2 door, and you would probably think if you left a car as it came out of the factory it would be worth more than a car that has been modified, but a car from back then with a 6 cylinder isnt what ppl really want. in 1961 you had the option of getting a 348 or 409 in a chevy but 61 was the first year for the 409 so there wasnt many of them. most ppl would like to get one with a 348 or 409 and a 4 speed rather than what the car came with if this was a 6 cylinder

EDIT:
I'm not planning to sell it anyway. i'm planning to race it.
