Dan is a knifemaker from North Carolina,he is a hunter, and the design of this knife shows it.Flat ground 154 ss blade. The ss bolster is set up for "choking up" on the blade, but serves perfectly to hide the corner of the tang of the blade when closed. No halfstop, just a monster bear trap spring, but he left it open in the back,I think so you can flush the goop out after use.
Mike says this looks like a Ray Cover skinner on steroids,I think he's right.Dan put the "rough" stag in the palm, for grip, really well done folding hunter-skinner.
Pictured here, with a 3.5" closed MM slip,a perfect size Charles May fixed blade, and a Jerry Halfrich 4" Winchester BP style, for size, proportion, and profile comparisons
This is something you just won't see too many of around, unless you live near Dan,Well done Dan !

James,sounds good,but in reality...You think I could fley (whatever that is ?) a striper??

It's a beefy boy ain't it! :) almost forgot...nice images too.;)

Vince,

I don't know about flying strippers, but I think you could give a fish a lot of grief by fileting it........just kidding, just kidding. To answer your question yes, if it is a big one, the ones I catch no, you call them bait. LMAO

I have came across a few of Daniel Warren's knives. How would one get into contact with him to ask about them?
