hello Gents.

question.

for those who have the winkler operator and or belt knife.

what are your opinions.

which one feels better in hand and whjch one is a best ? considering you need the jack of all trade blade?

pictures would be greatly apprec iated.

i am undecided!

but these two are my first choice

The Belt knife is probably the better all around knife. The operator seems more of a weapon. I have both and the field knife has become indispensable to me.

I agree...and let my operator go. Another one that doesn't get enough love IMHO is the Case-Winkler Skinner. One of the best feeling knives I've ever held. I do wish it came with the same sheath as the Belt Knife though.

and the winkler case go low on an auction site

Operator is definitely more of a weapon. It is flat ground and extremely sleek and light for slashes and thrusts. The belt knife is suited to utility woodcraft chores with it low belly and higher weight.
