Hey, I never said they were good pictures.:D

ABLEs with and without Custom Shop butt grind. The one with the butt grind is the best feeling and balancing drop point hunter I have ever held. The other one isn't bad, either.

Now my pictures won't appear for me. They were there a few minutes ago. Can anyone else see them?

Interesting story on that butt grind. Due to a miscommunication when I called about getting it done, the knife was originally ground with a skull crusher. After Jerry told me it had been a problem to work out a skull crusher with so little metal to work with, I had to tell him that I had wanted it with no butt metal at all.

In retrospect, I should have kept the skull crusher and sent the other one back for the butt grind.:(
 
I can see them. But are they really ABLEs?

They are so nice I want to be sure about what I'm looking at.

Looks great! I see the pics just fine.

Just curious... where do you like the balance point on a knife? Index finger? Never held any of the badgers so I dont know where the balance point was prior to the but grind.

Even with the butt grind, the balance is slightly (5mm or so) to the rear of the index finger. Frankly, they both seem to balance at close to the same point.

BTW... those are very nice Mike. The more I see the ABALE.... the more I want one. May have to go a hunt for one of these bad boys. :thumbup:
