Ok for the past 5 months I have been on a duty boot quest, have asked some questions and got many opinions. Well about 3 weeks ago I bought a pair of Danner boots Pursuit Excels all leather uppers, toe up laces, stitched soles for replace-ability, Vibram soles, the boots look similar to a pair of Matterhorn US issue duty boots so you get the idea of looks. When the I 1st put the boot son I looked and thought damn these must be used there toooo comfortable, well they weren’t and yes they are that comfortable. I have owned Rocky's, Matterhorn’s, Herman's and others but never owned a pair that felt this good out of the box I was and am amazed. I love the fact that they are easily resole able and the look of them is great. I can't say yet how they wear through time but Danner's get high marks from anyone or anything I have read so I believe they will. If your looking for boots Danner's get my vote!

I know, i have had my acadia's for over 6 months and they now feel almost like slippes, i cant tell im wearing boots, they are great in the field as well. I just ordered some steel toe Danner Ft. Lewis for work, im sure they will be just as good.

Ah, yes, Danner boots. Comfort, durability, the ability to be re-soled, comfort, no need for break-in period, did I mention comfort? I just wish Danner would make a jungle boot, with plenty of ventilation and no goretex liner, because southeast Texas is hot and humid for so much of the year. I have a pair of Mountain Lights, a pair of Special Forces, a pair of the Patrol Boots, and some camo hunting Danners I bought at a clearance price. I think you will find they wear quite well over time.
