Hello Everyone,
I have been playing around with w1 and Aldo's low manganese 1075 to try and learn how to make hamons. I wish I could take good pics, but I can't. Some day, maybe, I will get the photo thing sorted out.

The dao is 1/4" wide at ridge and 12" working length. The person who ordered this wants to fit it out himself. The dao is 1075.

I am probably going to give the other blade to my cousin, unless someone really wants to buy it. I will be fitting it out as a fighter. the fighter is w1.

I hope you guys like. the hamons are really vivid, but I can't capture it. In person, you could actually see the slight elevations along the blade where the hardened material stood just a little "proud" of the unhardened material. It was the most dramatic difference like that I have seen just from clay.

comments and welcomed.

take care,

Kevin
