Hi, I'm looking for a taller-than-standard nakiri, something that resembles a small chinese cleaver but with a thinner blade and more nimble in the hand.
Dao Vua nakiris sound intersting for their quality/price ratio and seem a good starting point for practicing sharpening.
Feedback and suggestions from experienced users are appreciated.

Thank you!

The Twosun TS603 has been on my wishlist; I've been waiting for the next production batch. I'm not sure exactly how tall the blade is, but it looks proportionally taller than most. I have the chef knives from this series and have been blown away by the quality for the price. They have 14C28N steel, a seamlessly welded bolster, G10 fiberglass handles with a comfortable shape and a mosaic pin. Twosun does make a few other Nakiris that are available, but I really like the modern streamlined design of the 600 series kitchen knives.

The only issue I have with it is edge retention. If you want to practice sharpening, it fits the bill.
It does sharpen easily and can take a very fine edge. The front half is belly, the back half is flat.
If you want to got a little bit bigger and with a flatter edge profile, you might consider the CCK Cleaver.

Google Bunka Bocho.
This one is in Blue #2 from JCK. There are all sorts of steel varieties.
