Dark blotches on Ti?

Hey guys, I have kind of a weird question today... I've noticed some dark blotches popping up on the handle of one of my knives (Volt, but only on the side with the inlay?) and was wondering if anyone had any advice for cleaning them off? I notice dark spots from the oils in my hands on other knives and those seem to come right off but these seem a little more resilient... I'm wondering if they're spots from something I handled and touched on the knife or if it's an uneven bead blast (some spots getting hit more than others...) I will get photos up later this evening if I can't get them cleaned off (in the production photos it looks like that side isn't supposed to be bead blasted which is a big part of why I think it's something I handled...) Yeah, I'd definitely say it's something you handled. I have multiple Volts and have never seen anything like what you're describing just from normal exposure to oils from one's hands. Not sure what to tell you about how to clean it off, though -- it'll depend to some extent on what the stuff is. A paper towel with a bit of dish soap on it might be one good option if the stuff is oil/grease-based.
 
I'm thinking it could be ink off a beer box (making a hat for drinking games last night) and I will give the dish soap a shot, my concern is my inexperience with g-10 and cleaning finished materials... I took a fair amount of metal shop classes but all of my products in that class were rough finished and still had tool marks in them...

Is the color of the Ti on the non-lock side of your volts lighter or darker than the lock side? And no dice with the dish soap unfortunately...

I just double-checked, and on all of them the color of the Ti is the same on the lock and off sides.
