Dark brown paper base micarta handles with black paper base accent stripe. I love this stuff, it buffs out so nicely. Hard to photograph though.

Wow, I like that. Is that type of micarta something newly available? I don't think I've ever seen it before.

Nice job on the knife too, bolsters add a lot of class IMO.

Thanks, but I cannot take credit for the knife, it was a kit knife. But the dark brown paper base handles are exactly that. Yea, alot of people never seen this before. Its the same as the black but dark brown. I like it better than the black paper base myself. No finish on the handle, just buffed on a wheel.

That is just beautiful. Thanks for sharing. Almost looks like wood grain where it is tappered from top to bottom. Love the dark color. Is paper based material easy to work with? I heard it likes to burn when shapping with power tools.

Its pretty easy to work with. When you start feeling too hot, just stop for a while or sand somewhere else for a while. I just sand to bulk down, and then go to hand tools. So if a little burn was to happen i would be able to remove it. But really, paper base is very easy to work with, i love it. In fact, I already got some yellow paperbase sclaes sitting there waiting for my next knife when i find time to get to it. Thanks.
