It has been a while since I made any hunters, and I figured now is the season so..
This one has a dark antiqued blade (there is a hamon hiding in there too) and some of my stabilized curly Bastogne walnut. Pictures don't do this wood justice! It has a tapered tang and is balanced quite nicely. I made a heavy duty hand stitched leather sheath for it as well.
The steel is 1095.

Thanks for looking!

That's a beauty, Ben. I like everything about it! ANd very timely with archery season just starting here in GA today.

I like the design and like the knife.
Very functional design, well executed and ergonomically correct for purpose.:thumbup:

Thanks very much guys. It should make one heck of a workhorse.
I am sure am glad I have a box full of this walnut!

good looking knife, Ben. Really like the black finish, among other things.

Great looking knife Ben! I like the size and profile!

How durable is the the blade finish?

The blade was blasted and then cold blued. It should be as durable as any patina, and easily touched up if desired.
The pins are carbon fiber.

Great knife, love the power of simplicity and everything dark inclusive the black pin, cool;)

Ohh, I like that a lot. That dark look makes it appear very businesslike and low key - both traits, that I like. Keep up the good work.

One of these and one of your bearded axes and I'd be good to go!

Have been drooling over that axe since you posted pics of it and now this.......
