I know this is going to sound VERY melodramatic, but it just makes me sad to see Dark Nemesis sell off his pristine Benchmade collection. He was THE authority on older benchmades around here until... sniff.... recently....

I know, they're his knives and he can do whatever he wants with them, but my gosh; how many of us remember getting rid of a collection that we were so proud of.
Oh, well, I hope he enjoys his newly found collection as much as he did the Benchmades.

What's he gonna collect now???

I'll shed a few tears also. Would hate to give up my Benchmade's!!!

He sold many of them off to purchase M9 bayonets, I could be wrong, since I don't know too much about military hardware.

Danelle just messaged me that this thread was here, thought she was kidding at first

You guys are the absolute best i swear to god. Yep, my Benchmades were my pride and joy. I still love the ones that I'm keeping(obviously the 800 tanto), but over the winter I started to really get a thing for Military knives, with a focus on M9 bayonets. Something about the style and tradition behind them. After reading the history of the M9 there seems to be a kind of unspoken passing of the torch when one company's contract ends and another begins.

I'll be honest, part of me misses the old style to Benchmade knives, ya know...back in the day of many many full sized tactical knives in the line up.

One day I sat down with my collection and though long and hard if I wanted to part with them. You can be darn sure it hurt to send the first of them out

almost changed my mind. Most of them have gone to bgouker, who I trust to take care of them as long as he owns them. If he reads this, I really do thank him for giving them a good home.

Haven't lost any drive or passion for knives, and will be pursuing full sized tactical knives and M9 bayonets just as hard as I did my Benchmades

Best pics will be up again soon on the website.

Best part of collecting knives is the thrill of the hunt...
