I just finished this one up. I like how the colors all came together.

1084/15n20 Damascus steel blade. 3 1/2" blade. Carbon fiber bolsters with bronze pivot collars. Desert ironwood scales. All titanium pivot and screws that I've given my "antiqued" finish. Titanium antiqued thumb stud. Carbon fiber backspacer. Jeweled titanium lock and liners. Ceramic detent ball. PB washers. Deep carry pocket clip. 4 1/2" closed.

It’s a great folder and I love the lines…I’d enjoy it even more without the synthetic bolsters. ;)

Thanks for the comment Dudley.

Would you have preferred a solid wood scale (no bolster at all)?......or some sort of metal bolster?

With this one I was after both the color AND the light weight. Thus is a good sized folder with a large bolster. Metal would be really heavy. But that isn't to say I wouldn't do it or it wouldn't look good.

I’ve just never been a fan of bolsters that aren’t ‘alloy’ in nature….too old school I guess.

To be honest, since I’d never carry/use a folder of that stature weight wouldn’t really matter, to me anyway. ;) :D

Fair enough. I can appreciate that.

I love everything about this. I do understand that it's not traditional in nature, but I think you did an amazing job of blending a modern look with a traditional style. Proof it can be done and done very well.

I am not personally a fan of carbon fiber, but have to say it works on this one. And the rest is absolutely stunning John!
