Just saw on tv the gunslinger series by Stephen King is debuting in theaters this summer. So stoked! Review says it's not going to be a direct adaptation which is probably good cuz kings stuff gets really weird at times and I don't know how you'd convey that across screen. Can't wait.

What I read is that the movie will be a continuation from the end of the 7th book. But, who knows. I am looking forward to seeing it.

Think I'll start rereading the series just to be prepared.

Yah I finished the last book like eight years ago, forgot a lot. I don't really remember Walters role played by Matthew Mcconaughey

I got hung up on the 7th book and never finished. I loved books 2-5.

*SPOILER ALERT*

Silly right since I didn't finish the book, but when the bad guy turned into a spider I was like "Are you kidding me. " A friend complained once about Stephen King not finishing books strong. That's when I began to understand. IT was also disappointing to me. King has some form of arachnophobia. Still would love to see the movies.

Yah I kinda remember forcing myself through the last couple books as well. Funny you think a manspider is weird but not a train that tells riddles.

Haha, fair point. I think I went straight from IT to the DT books and was sorely disappointed that IT turned into a spider at the end. So it was more like "Seriously, another spider." I followed the big screen possibilities of DT for a while and about lost hope that it would ever happen. I think Javier Bardem was cast as Roland at one point. I always thought Viggo Mortenson would be a good choice, but it will be interesting to see how Idris Elba does.
