I am trying to decide which of the brown leather shades will match best with African Blackwood. The wood looks black in some light and a very dark brown in others. It is hard for me to tell from pictures which shade of brown is darkest. Thank you for any advice.
 
The darkest sheath I have seen from Bud so far is cordovan.

Cordovan does look darkest in the pictures. But how much red is actually in it?

Cordovan looks Black if the leather is oiled. It shows hues if I polish/seal the leather with wax. Same pertains with the Chocolate dye I use on occasion.
