Hi. Does anybody own or has anyone handled the Paul Chen Darn Dao? What is the overall quality of the piece? Also, which other sword makers make quality Chinese broadswords? TIA

I like mine, but am very careful. Have encountered one person that bent his blade. I think that the steel is a little thin, and the piece is very light. This is not a Chinese version of a Katana!!
That said, I think that a lot of thought went into a sword that can be used for live blade practice. The balance is great and the blade makes a very nice sound as it cuts through air!!
Paul Chen makes a nice example of this sword for about the same money, maybe a little less depending on where you buy it.
