Even in my drunken stupour I managed to remember tonite was my night to grab my binoculars , sneak outside after dark and take a peak at the seven sisters . Unfortunately nature conspired against me and all was to no avail .

What were you supposed to be able to see Kevin? Was it just a good time to see the constellation, or was there something else? Should I head outside where I am?

Rob There is a seven gabled farm house near me and a farmer with seven daughters ....... oops family forum warning . I,m not that much up on astronomy . The seven sisters is a constellation of stars visible near the moon at seven thirty tonite . It could be earlier or later depending upon where you are . Near me they were supposed to be visible just below the moon . Their configuration seems to be more horizontal than vertical . Give it a try . Its totally cloudy here .

Where I am (Tennessee) the moon eclipsed the seven sisters. With binoculars you can just make out a couple of the stars on the handle poking out from the top of the moon.

Hi Kevin:

In your condition it is important to remember to put you feet down when you come to a stop on your Harley! I have a buddy that forgets to do that and we have to pick his bike up.
