Darrel Ralph Gunhammer handle????

I am on the list for a Darrel Ralph Gunhammer with a damascus blade and I am having a hard time deciding what handle material to order. Originally I was thinking the carved damascus but now I am leaning toward gold lipped pearl and think that would really look nice. Does anyone have an opinion?

If you're going for a user knife, I'd do the damascus. Otherwise, if it's just a collector piece, or a Sunday-got-to-meeting knife, the pearl would look awesome! I, myself, would be stuck trying to decide between carbon fiber, and mammoth ivory.

I envy the fact that you have a choice! I'll just keep dreaming about a DDR Custom...

If the handle is going to be Ti the Damascus looks really nice.
Below, shows GH with the smooth Damascus inlay. If you get Damascus handles and fluted Damascus, it gets a bit busy.

Great compilation of gunhammer photos... thanks for making time to assemble and post. Made my trigger finger itchy to get one on order... dammit.

...and agreed... some of the fluted all damascus stuff can really get too, too busy. :thumbup: +1

What I have on order right now has titanium handle, damascus blade and damascus inlay. I have some nice crackle mammoth ivory. Wonder how that whole package would look or with gold lip pearl??? Thanks for the photos. Those are great!

If it were my decision I'd choose Ti handle, Damascus blade and probably mammoth ivory for the inlay, or maybe a nice wood like ironwood or snakewood.
