I would love to see this... with the IKBS. I think that knife would be so sweet!

I'm calling you guys out! Please make this knife!

Damn you!!!! I clicked on this thread expecting that you had news (or at least rumors) of a DR-ZT collaboration, not just a request for one!!

;)

Joking aside, I'd absolutely love to see this, too.

a ZT gunhammer would be cool.
I thought exactly the same thing. I do wonder, though, how likely Darrel would be to do something like that (an adaptation of the Gunhammer), since it would compete pretty directly with his DDR HTM Gunhammers.

For most of us, of course, having two production/semi-production Gunhammers to choose from would be awesome, but I'm not sure I see it happening from a business standpoint.

Haha sorry I couldn't bring good news! I'm just drooling over the thought of a ZT gun hammer!

i believe there are DDR gunhammers being made by several different companies.

for example, here is the italian fox knives gunhammer...

You won't be seeing IKBS from DDR. That system is flawed. If anything, you'd be seeing some form of his Maxx Glide pivot system which does use bearings, although shielded.

Right, right. DDR uses a different bearing system. I'd be happy with any kind of bearings, don't care about the brand.

Good point, although the Meyerco and Fox Gunhammers are at lower price/quality points than the HTM Gunhammer (or a hypothetical ZT Gunhammer). Still, you're right that Darrel does seem quite willing to license the use of his designs/name to other companies, so maybe there is hope for that ZT Gunhammer after all! :D

Not trying to play matchmaker here... but Mr. Ralph, meet the boys at Kershaw. The rest will be history.

You heard it here first :)

There would be too much crossover between the HTM DDR knives and a DDR-ZT.

The ZT Hinderer collaboration makes sense in that Rick can't possibly meet the current demand for his knives, sales should be unaffected by a ZT model.
Darrel Ralph is already running a mid-tech line.

At $259.95 for the most basic Gun Hammer, pricing is already very competitive with ZT knives.
Just get one from the man himself.

After looking it over, I just realized I've found what is probably the closest I'll ever find to a ZT0200 with no re-curve and stop pin studs.

Bladeforums. Killing peoples budgets, one knife at a time.:grumpy:

Darrel Ralph is by far my favorite knife maker. His Madd Maxx, Maze and Gunhammer are all must owns for anyone who loves knives. JMO but his stuff is a cut above.
