Just when you thought an Apogee would suffice...

Wow!

I do believe I'm going to have to have one!

Is Darrel making them now?

Dang it Greg, just when I thought I was going to be able to put my checkbook away for a couple of months, you have to go and post these pictures. Just to ensure that I'm at maximum torture level, what kind of steel is Darrel using on the blades of the EDC? Thanks.

Squid,
Yes, Darrel is already making the EDCs. Bronco, I know how you feel.

Darrel! (Where is he anyway?) He's gone too far...up until now I have been able to resist the urge to buy an Apogee. Okay...where are you...how much?

Thanks Jake, I was afraid that would be the answer I'd get. Couldn't have been ATS-34 or 154CM or any other good but common steel I could convince myself that I've already got enough of. I guess I could always work two jobs.

grnamin:

What's the blade length on that puppy? From the pics with the medium Apogee, I'm guessing 3.5"ish???

Squid, you hit it right on the mark-->3.5 inches when measured from the tip of the handle to the blade tip.

I just returned from the show.. I feel like my head is tosted

Yes the blade is at 3.5 inches- 3.6 inches depending on where you measure. The handle (frame lock) was designed to fit either big or small hands .
(within reason)to have a good grip . There are three blade styles.
1. Dominator = apogee simular blade
2. fighter = is a slight upswept mid point fighter
3. Pit Bull = tanto style.
The handle style is the same size for all the knives. I took the best functional points from the apogee and Krait to design this knife. My goal was as much knife in as small a package as I could get.

The knife options will be from basic standard using - to full dress with my damascus (frame lock included). All other mixes are avaible.
It is avaiable in the illusion also.

I will try to post a mid priced dressed version in the next days or so.

I am also offering the apogee in a basic version because of Gregs ideas on his knife.
The price point has been lowered also for this model because it is less time to build.

I will be posting more on pics of these knives as I get the final design completed.

I will be set up to start building these knives within a few weeks. Some of the first will be delivered soon.

That's a great idea. A no frills version of your knives at a lower price. Will that extend to your EDC line? You are going to be busier than ever.

Cheers,
Damon

Thanks Damon.
Greg and desarno started this trend. It allows the buyer to get a good user for a good price.
The edc will come also as a base knife for those who want that style.
