Dasein 2000 -- hello, Namaste, and party time. Pix worth seeing.

The top two pix are marked on the back. "Hello and Namaste to Didi, Bena, customers and friends."

The bottom pix is party time. The fellow dressed up in the sari is Bhimsen, our engraver and tooler of scabbards and Bura's son. No, he is married and has two children. This is just a typical BirGorkha party. They are having one hell of a time! Wish I could have been there.

Uncle Bill, I'm wondering if a typical BirGorkha party has music, either live or tape? Everybody's clapping up a storm in that bottom pix as if there was music, but maybe that's for Bhimsen's performance alone. This whole series of Dasein pix posts is great, by the way.

They have some kind of music going I'll bet. If you notice the fellow in lower left has a Nepali "bongo" drum called a model or dumura if I remember correctly.
