I got a Chiruwa style WWII from Uncle Bill Monday and tested it out Today. The blade seems to have held up really well, but the handle broke.
I flexed the blade a few degrees with out a problem, Even beeting the spine cause no harm. But when I tapped the flat of the blade against a stup the handle broke. First the Bolster broke (along the seem) and fell off, then the slabs pulled away from the tang and the butt cap became really loose. Not to mention, a piece of horm broke off of the left slab. Talk about a dissapointment!
What do you think I should do?
--- Edit ---
I have some pics of the broken handle that I can email anybody that's interested in seeing the damage
