Another Bura's sweet blade
I have half a dozen of Bura's work and I really treasured them :D
Unluckily I just couldn't import sword to Kuala Lumpur beacuse the law says that Customs will just confiscate it the moment it appear on their counter :(

If you've never seen one in person :p I have and the carving is amazing; the dragon is a continuous wrap around (on the one I saw)... the Dukti's a little lighter and more lively than it looks.

I keep looking at this, and wanting to buy it, but it's hard for me to get a feel for the differences between a Dukti and a Manjushree (other than the guard). Some people have posted that their Dukti swords are more nimble than Manjushrees, but when I looked at the specs of the ones being sold a while back, many were significantly lighter (I saw one listed with a weight of 18 oz on 8/3/05, and a couple last year at 23 and 24 oz). This one will be a better chopper, but won't be as nimble as those lighter blades.

Having looked for a good non-wallhanger Gladuis, this looks really good; although I realize that this isn't exactly a Gladuis (I'd expect a slightly more acute point angle on a sword primarily intended for thrusting). The main reason that I'm holding back, and perhaps I'm being overly picky, but does it appear that the pommel is cracked in this picture?

On a side note, my Bura Gool arrived today -- well, actually yesterday but I haven't gone to sleep yet, and I like it a lot. I canceled an order for a couple Busse Mini Sus Scrofas a while back. The Gool may not be INFI, but it'll fill the same niche, and it should handle anything that I'll use it for. Plus, I like that it doesn't look like a "combat knife" and that it cost a whole lot less (it even came with a sheath).

Yangdu checked for me and verified that the pommel isn't cracked (I guess it's just a shadow in the picture), so I sent purchase email and payment.
