This will be my first "real" khukuri. Had a cold steel that got stolen. I'm looking forward to handling the real thing. This one does seem unusual with the lighter wood. I hope it's a good one, I haven't heard much about this kami. I do like the bolsters in the handle.

As long as the heat treat is good, it'll be a good one. The WWII is a great all-round design, and 18" is a good length.
