Hi,

Still green to Blade Forum ! My main question is how can I figure out the age of my RMK #8 ?? I think it's by the spacers, but am not sure. Also, I thought I used to be able to search BF with a search option, but now I can't seem to find that option. Have I lost my mind or has somethin' changed.

Thanks...

JP, you might want to check Sheldon Wickershams website: http://www.bluestarknives.com/index.html. He sells a Randall timeline that explains how to date your Randall by the spacers. I don't have anything to do with his business, just letting you know it's out there. I've got one and it's helped me.

Thanks blade, I think I'll pick one up. I read more about dating Randall's AFTER I posted my question. I actually came back to delete my post, so as not to further burden anybody. Thanks again for your input...

JP,

It's not a burden at all friend, in fact questions like yours are what keeps many of us coming back. In the meantime, post some pictures of your knife if you can, and I'm sure someone here will at least attempt to help.

Best,

Shel

Thanks so much !!!!!!!! I'll try and post some pics, but have had issues in the past. Please stay tuned, I'd really like to have your opinion !!!!!!!!!!!

Awww Samael, I didn't mean to leave you out and make you sad, I'd really like to have your opinion too !!! You kickin' up dirt makes me feel so appreciated...

: )

Naw, no "kicking up dirt" involved, just couldn't pass up the opportunity to give a little grief to a bud (Shel.)

There are at least 217 threads here at BFC on how to insert photos...but, if those threads don't do the trick, and if you still need another opinion, feel free to email your photos to 'swickersham at sbcglobal dot net' and I'll see what I can do to help...;)
