I just recently bought a Al Buck founders edition 110 at wally-world. It is a beutiful knife, I thinks the scales are rosewood, but not sure. What is odd is that there is no date code. Whats that all about? Thanks.

Well, since the whole tang stamp is different,it won't be hard to id it in the future.

As piglipsticker refered to, the founders editions have a unique tang stamp but don't have a specific date code.

Its a founders edition,so its easy to date code by the stampit has,and the handles are laminated wood that is rosewood colored. Its a good knife to put in a safe likew i did with my 100 year anniversary 110,and my vmaster series 110 .Some day they will be worth big bucks.lol

Thanks very much for the comeback guys. The members in this forum are very helpful. This knife is never going to see a day of hunting or field dressing. I'll keep will clean so I can admire it often. I would like to order the MOP 110 custom Buck, but its a little pricey. Perhaps when the government sends me the money they are talking about. Thanks.
