Date for a Buck 303

Hi gang, I picked up a buck 303 over the weekend for twenty dollars. I was wondering if there’s a way to date it as it doesn’t have any of the date symbols that they use on other knives. The tang is marked BUCK over MADE IN U.S.A. With the 303 on the other side. The Spey blade is on the back side and the sheepsfoot is on the main blade side. Thanks in advance.

A photo would help, but from your description my guess is that the knife is a Camillus contract knife from 1971-1974. If it has handle pins, the knife is from 1971.

Thanks Bert. I can’t post a photo, at least not yet. It doesn’t have the pins. It looks like it was in someone’s tool box kicking around. The springs had some rust and some wer on the Delrin. The blades look like they cut stuff with it once in a while and never sharpened. I was happy to pick this one up.
