Hey all,

I finally got around to snapping a couple quick pictures of my prized possession, my grandpa's Schrade pocket knife. Grandpa passed away when I was 19. I'm 30 now. At his funeral, my Grandma presented me with his pocket knife. It's the only knife I ever saw him use. I carry it only on the most special of occasions, such as my wedding. Anyway, on to the pictures. Sorry for the lack of quality, I plan on getting a light box built so I can do the knife justice!

It measures right at 5" open, and 2-7/8" closed. Can anyone tell me a rough age estimate, or a model number? The blades are both stamped "SCHRADE CUT CO WALDEN NY" I tried and tried to get a picture of the stamps, but they just wouldn't show up.

Thanks for any info you can share with me, I really appreciate it!

It was made before 1947, but probably after 1930. If your model number remains unanswered by tomorrow, I will look it up. Nice bone handles!

Excellent, thank you kindly for the information! That's actually a fair bit older than I had thought. If I make the assumption that he was the original purchaser of the knife, that means he would have bought it somewhere between the ages of 12-28! WOW!

Thanks again, you've helped a ton!

Oh wow, that's really neat to see a catalog ad for it! Thank you both so much for helping me out. I'm really looking forward to letting my dad know what you've told me.

Its hard to imagine living for over fifty years with one pocket knife, but if it wasn't broken, why fix it?

Thanks again, I'm indebted to you both!
