Date of Avalanche steel change?

I'm looking to buy an Avalanche. I know that the current blade is S30V and the older ones were S60V. The majority of online stores I have looked at say that the blade is S60V when I look at their website descriptions. If I knew when the changeover was made I might have a better chance of knowing which stores have old stock vs. which stores are posting old descriptions.

So, I said all that so that I could ask: When did Kershaw change the blade steel of the Avalanche?

Not sure of the date, but there are some other differences that might help as well, the S30V ones can be switched to tip up/down, and have a smooth spot under the clip, to make getting into and out of the pocket easier.

Nov. 06 is the date on the one I have, and it is s30v.
