Hello I have what I believe is a 119. There are no markings except for the name BUCK stamped on the top of the blade. Anyone have any ideas. of age and value?

Buck 119 Special
Approximately 1965 - 1966 (Blades guide to knives and their values pg.367)
Value is whatever someone is willing to pay???

the value in blaides guide is for collector show knives with every thing from the factory ... many amtures get it and then think the knives are worth so much... so be carefull ...it is a keeper tho!

Thanks for the response I inherited this along with another buck pocket knife and was trying to figure out what to do with it.

You can send it to me.
Sirusly, I don't think you will have a problem selling it. But I would keep it unless you don't collect Bucks or knives in general. That's like me keeping a buffalo nickel if I'm five cents short on a beer. Since I don't collect coins, I'd get a beer.

Thats a nice 119! Timeframe shown above is pretty close. We started using that style of sheath in 1964 and the knife could be from that period. Started stamping USA on the blade in 1967 so there is the range. A lot of guys prefer the edge geometry and 440C steel we used back then so the knife would be great to use or save.

ahh >>> there you have it !
the wis has spoken!
pay no attention the the man with with the bow...
he is of no concern to you as long as you have no antlers...

I'm not above shooting a cow or doe! Or maybe I should say, no problem shooting "at".

LOL, me either. I give alot of warning shots it seems

Can't eat the antlers anyway, sure would make nice Buck knives handles though:D

Iv'e heard that tracks and scat also make poor soup. Wonder how they would do in Chili though?
I have such a bad track record that once, when I hit a deer and only found a small bone chip, I told myself I would save that chip and make some soup out of it since that was probably all I was ever going to see of the deer.
Luckily, I did eventually find the deer.
