Date stamp collectibles?

Hey guys,

Was just reading Plums Idaho stamp focus thread and began thinking(always a dangerous thing:D)

I have mulled over in my mind what I consider to be collectible based wholly on date stamp and figgered I'd make a list and see if anyone has same or different thoughts. Pre '86 dots and versions excluded only because we all know they are collectors based on age alone. Here it is(110 model only):

1986-1st year of standard date stamp
1991 + last year of 425mod
1992(110-) and (-110-)
1994 /maccassar and 1994 /obeechee
2002 anvil
2005 Idaho
2011 C. the dot returns:D

those are the 9 110's I think I should have as an accumulator based solely on date stamp.

The floor is open for discussion:)
 
Ima, Your on to something . I'd add the 2008 no year date stamp . Collectors will collect many models based solely on a rare/different stamp . Some of the guys here have posted photos of many of their rare stamped knives . Then we go into brain fry trying to figure them out . I just enjoy it ! DM

Excellent call DM, there was something ringing in the back of my head, where more brain should be, that I was missing something and that is exactly it.
 
Houz bout those thingies stamped: BCCI :D

not exactly date stamps, but they do fall past a certain date. ;)
 
Wolf, I think those are very limited editions . Perhaps not as limited as others like 'E' mentioned but still limited . How limited is limited ? A hundred or 1000 . Still, its limited . DM
 
i would also add the 2003 issue of the T
to do some lets see ...
Joe had a few made with the year stamp T put on the back !
i was shocked when i sold the one i had with it and it
brought over 100$ from a more experanced collector in early 2004...
it was jest last year that i managed to get another new one!!
that and the 111 also made it a year with jest a few with out the year mark
