I think that Case knives have something going with their dating system stamped onto the tang of each knife. Wouldn't it be nice to see something like that on high end production tactical knives like Benchmade or Spyderco? Laser etching or tang stamp - something permanent. I mean, in 20 or 30 years it would be nice to trace the history of my tactical folders like I can my Case knives.

I think that would be a good way to keep track of the age and other data .

And how much would you pay for it?

If you've got several similar ones, couldn't you just put a sticker on the box so you could tell them apart?

I don't see any use for any such markings and it could hurt sales since it wouldn't be apparent that the "1999" was exactly the same as the "2000" (and for that matter, all "2001s" needn't be the same).

I hear the South Park movie is R-17 in the USA. Due to the language used. Here it's got a 7 year old limit, and wouldn't have even that if it wasn't for the violence.
