Dating a Buck 650 Nighthawk

I picked up a 650C Nighthawk recently and am trying to date it and find out if it's worth keeping.
It appears unused. The warranty card is still in the sheath.
The box is labeled Nighthawk B650-BB-0, CAT. 9209. Also a label on the box "Edge 2000 Blade, Sharper Longer"
Blade is marked Buck 650C Pat. Pend.
Knife looks like it's never been carried or sharpened.

Nice find. The C stands for the date code 1995, however, the Edge 2000 was for the year 2000. The box is likely not the original to that knife.

I remember some recent discussion about the Buck 6__ series, including Nighthawks and the color of handle. You could use the search and Google and possibly find it and more information than you want. HTH

Could it be a Squared 'C' ? That would be around 2000.

Not sure when Buck started to put the date of production of on the label of the box...
A photo would sure help.

When you date a Buck 650, are you expected to bring a corsage and pay for everything on the first date?
