I recently purchased a Buck custom 532 with ram horn scales and a mirrored finished 420HC steel blade and nickel silver bolsters. Blade is labeled only BUCK, the anvil, Custom, and USA. Unfortunately, no box or paperwork came with the knife. Was wondering if there was a way of dating the knife? Thanks in advance, Jim

The 532 Ram Horn was made in 2003 as a special project for Bass Pro Shops (BP4 Catalog #9521). Hope this helps.

Well, when dating a Buck knife, the first thing you should do is compliment it. "Hello, you are looking pretty sharp today. Has anyone told you you lately you are a cut above the rest?".
I'm sorry, I really couldn't help myself. :)

Actually thought about rewording the subject line for that reason! I will try that line at me earliest opportunity!

At the risk of an encounter with a moderator. A 70's group called Mungo Jerry had a song with the following advice, "If her daddy's rich take her out for a meal, if her daddy's poor just do what you feel." Good luck.
